If you’ve booked a hair and makeup mobile service, you will need to set up a chair for you to sit on, close to a table that your hair and makeup artist can use to lay out their products. The chair and table should also be near an electrical outlet for tools to be plugged into.
Make sure you wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner just before your appointment so that your hair is still damp when your artist arrives. You should also ensure your face is clean and moisturised.
What products / tools will my hair and makeup artist use?
Every hair and makeup artist has their own professional kit, unique to them. To find out what products and tools they will use, view their bio by heading to your upcoming bookings page and clicking on their profile picture.
If you have allergies or sensitivities to certain products, let your hair and makeup artist know by adding a message for them in the notes for therapist section at the time of booking.
Where can I find photos of my hair and makeup artist’s work?
You can view photo’s of your makeup artists work on their profile page. You can access their profile page by heading to your upcoming booking page and clicking on your artists profile picture.

How much space will I need for the hair and makeup artist to set up?
You will need enough space for your hair and makeup artist to set up their tools as well as a chair for you to sit in. We recommend setting up a chair close to a table and electrical outlet.

Do makeup artists do hair?
Some makeup artists are also hair stylists so can offer both services. If you choose a hair and makeup package, you’ll be allocated a makeup artist who is also a hair stylist.

How long will the hair & makeup session go for?
The length of a hair and makeup service depends on what style you’re after. A glam look will take longer than a natural look however we say to allow approximately 2 hours per person for your look to be completed. When you place your booking you can specify the time you need to be ready to ensure your hair and makeup artist knows exactly how much time they have to get you prepped for your event.
