DO I NEED TO PROVIDE ANYTHING FOR MY MASSAGE THERAPIST?

Nope! Blys mobile massage therapists bring everything needed to take you to a state of bliss; professional table, fresh sheets and towels, essential lotion/oils, soothing music, and most importantly – the best hands in the business! 🙂

You are welcome to use your own table, towels, sheets or music if preferred. Occasionally a small/folding chair may be requested, but most of our massage therapists bring their own stool if needed. Since your body temperature can drop slightly during a massage, please ensure the room is at a comfortable setting for you.

HOW DOES BLYS VET ITS THERAPISTS?

We’re are extremely diligent about our vetting process and the massage therapists we accept to join our team.

Our vetting process consists of;

  • qualification, insurance and police checks,
  • phone-screening,
  • face-to-face interview,
  • practical demonstration,
  • and in-person onboarding.

We interview each therapist in person and make sure they meet the ‘Blys Standards’ to provide you with the best home massage experience in every city we operate. 

In addition to our requirements on qualifications and insurance, we are also big on interpersonal skills and cultural fit – to make sure you get the best customer service and experience every time you book a massage from Blys.

Once a therapist joins our platform, we then use our rating & review system to ensure we maintain the highest level of service quality.

This rigorous process ensures that Blys is the easiest, fastest and safest way to get the best massage in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

WHAT TYPES OF SERVICES ARE OFFERED BY BLYS?

Blys currently offers Swedish Massage, Remedial / Deep Tissue Massage, Sports MassagePregnancy Massage, Aged Care Massage  and Corporate Massage.

Any of these modalities can be performed as a Couples Massage, which means that two BLYS therapists will perform massages for you and your spouse/partner/friend at the same time.

To avoid doubt, we are strictly a professional service and do not offer any type of sensual or sexual massages.

DO THE MASSAGES INCLUDE FOOT MASSAGE OR FACE / SCALP MASSAGE

Blys massage therapists are qualified to do foot massage and head / scalp massages.

If you’d like to have a foot or a head / scalp massage, simply select the Swedish or Deep Tissue option when booking online, and specify the areas that you want your therapist to focus on during treatment. Your therapist will tailor your treatment accordingly for you. 🙂

DO YOU HAVE ONE OF THOSE PREGNANCY MASSAGE TABLES WITH HOLE?

It’s extremely rare to find a mobile massage therapist who brings a pregnancy massage table with hole, as there’s a common view amongst qualified massage therapists that it’s safer for the mum-to-be and the bub to be laying on her side.

Therapists use pillows of various sizes and shapes to support the healthy alignment of your spine and pelvis. As your pregnancy progresses, we might also add a small pillow underneath your belly to support against gravity and reduce rolling forward.

Rest assured all Blys therapists are trained & experienced in pregnancy massage, and will ensure you’re in a safe and comfortable position and have a relaxing experience.

DO I NEED TO TIP MY BLYS MASSAGE THERAPIST?

Nope, all fees are included in the final price. But if you really want to show your appreciation, here’s a pro tip; the best compliment for our therapists is being rebooked 😉

WHAT IS BLYS CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING POLICY?

We understand that plans can change, so if you need to cancel or amend your confirmed appointment, you can do so within 1-hour after placing your booking request, or up to 24 hours before your massage is scheduled to begin with no penalty.

  • For any cancellation or rescheduling that takes place between 24 hours & 4 hours prior to the scheduled massage time, we charge 50% of the total.
  • For any cancellation or rescheduling that takes place less than 4 hours prior to the scheduled massage time, we charge 100% of the total.
  • Cancellations fee only applies to bookings that have been confirmed. If your therapist hasn’t been confirmed yet, we don’t charge your card and you don’t incur any fees.

If you’re running late to a scheduled appointment, we allow 20 minutes for your arrival. If you still haven’t shown up after 20min, we leave and consider the booking as a no-show.

We put this cancellation and rescheduling policy in place to protect our therapists, as they lose income when cancellations or amendments to booking schedules occur, and need to receive compensation for time they have set aside for you.

CAN I BOOK A MASSAGE DIRECTLY WITH A THERAPIST INSTEAD OF THROUGH BLYS?

The short answers is, no. Here’s why:

We take the stress out of getting a massage, by offering you a reliable and trusted service, and seamlessly connecting you with qualified and vetted local practitioners in a very short notice.

Blys makes life a lot easier for its therapists as well, by handling the less-exciting aspects of their practice (marketing, scheduling, payments and admin work), so that they can concentrate on what they love doing – their practice.

So, if you enjoy the convenience and the quality of our service, we kindly ask you to respect our service, and book your massages through our platform so that we can ensure you’ll always get the same level of service, whenever and wherever you want.

If you’ve used our service before and wanted to book the same therapist again, you can simply select the ‘priority therapist’ option when making your next booking and we’ll send that therapist to you.

WHAT ABOUT PARKING?

When booking, we ask that you provide as detailed parking information as you have available. If our therapists are unable to find free parking, or none is available in your area, we kindly ask that you reimburse the therapist for any expenses incurred, such as valet expenses if you are staying at a hotel.

WHAT TIMES CAN I BOOK A MASSAGE?

We operate from 8am to midnight, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

DO YOU DO LAST MINUTE APPOINTMENTS?

Yes, we do. Depending on therapist availability, we can be at your doorstep in an as little as an hour for those last minute appointments. You can simply select the earliest time option on our website or massage app and get your zen now.

CAN I GET A REBATE FOR MY MASSAGE FROM MY HEALTH FUND?

Most of our therapists offer rebates for most health funds, but please check first with your health fund to see if they offer rebates for in-home massages. If they do, then simply add your fund name in the ‘Special Instructions’ when booking online and we’ll do our best to find you a therapist with that fund.

DO YOU HAVE HICAPS?

We don’t use HICAPS machines. The payments are made in full at the time of booking online on our website or app, but we provide you with a receipt which has your therapist’s provider ID which you can use to claim rebates from your fund, assuming your fund covers massages.

YOU’RE NOT IN MY CITY. CAN I STILL GET A BLYS MASSAGE?

Nope. We only operate where we have therapists. However, we plan to be serving every major city in Australia. Please sign up, and we will notify you as soon as we arrive in your city.

CAN I PICK MY THERAPIST?

Yes, you have the option to choose whether you prefer a male or a female therapist when making your booking.

If you’re a returning customer, you also have the option on our website or app to “Rebook” the same therapist from one of your previous bookings.

Due to the on-demand nature of our service and in order to guarantee you receive a massage when you want it, we don’t offer new customers the ability to browse & pick a therapist for their massage as we have no way of guaranteeing a certain therapist will be available for certain date/time.

Instead, we assign the first available Blys therapist to your booking. It’s just like Uber, but for massages.

This unique approach also allows us to offer a more seamless experience to our users as it’s one less step for you to get a massage.

Rest assured, all our therapists are qualified and offer the same level of service excellence – so if you book a massage through Blys, you’re guaranteed to get the same 5-star treatment.

I JUST MADE A BOOKING. HOW DO I KNOW WHICH THERAPIST IS COMING?

Once your therapist is confirmed, you’ll be able to see the name & profile pic of your therapist in your account, under the “Upcoming Bookings” section.

We will also text you a link with the details of your therapist, including the ETA, once your therapist is on way.

I REALLY LIKED MY THERAPIST LAST TIME. CAN I BOOK THE SAME THERAPIST AGAIN?

Yes, 100%!

When you’re making your next booking, simply go to the “Past Bookings” section in your account on our website or app, and “Rebook” your favourite therapist.

Although we cannot guarantee that the same therapist will be available for your booking time and location, we will offer your booking to your preferred therapist first. If he/she is not available, your booking will be assigned to the first available therapist.

I AM LOVING MY MASSAGE, I WISH IT NEVER ENDED! CAN I EXTEND?

Yep, you can.

Requests to extend treatments is very common (it’s a great compliment to our therapists by the way!) – especially for 60min massages.

If you wish to extend your massage, simply ask your therapist. If your therapist is available (e.g. doesn’t have another client to go to), then you can stay in your state of bliss a little longer.

Your therapist will let us know about the additional time after your appointment, so that we can adjust your original booking and payment to include the extra time. Simple.

IS IT OK FOR ME TO ASK MY THERAPIST TO GO FIRMER OR SOFTER DURING MY MASSAGE?

Certainly.

All our therapists are trained to check with our clients the level of pressure applied at the beginning of each massage – to ensure you’re comfortable and enjoying your massage.

DOES MY ROOM/OFFICE NEED TO BE LARGE TO ACCOMODATE A MASSAGE CHAIR OR TABLE?

Not at all. Massage chairs (ideal for companies, corporate events or home spa parties) utilise about the same space as an office chair. Massage tables require a little more space, but often moving a coffee table provides ample room in a family room. Any quiet space: family room, living room, patio can be easily adapted to accommodate a massage table.

DO YOU SEND TWO MOBILE MASSAGE THERAPISTS FOR A COUPLES MASSAGE?

Yep. Mobile massage therapy is ideal for couples massage. Many clients prefer the comfort of their own home and the ability to be in the same room during appointments. Utilising multiple chair massage therapists during at-home spa parties is also popular.

Alternatively you can select the ‘Back-to-back’ option when booking – in which case we’ll send one therapist who will massage you and your partner/friend one after the other.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR DURING THE MASSAGE?

Whatever makes you comfortable – you determine your own level of comfort when disrobing, but typically you’ll undress up to your underwear.

Our trained therapists will always give you the privacy to undress and dress; we simply step outside the room briefly and come back in when you’re ready. In addition, the utmost respect is given in regards to draping throughout the massage and private areas are never exposed.

In regards to chair massages, the client remains fully dressed – though some choose to remove bulky sweaters or jackets.

HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD I ALLOW FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

Blys mobile massage therapists are efficient in quickly setting up and taking down their equipment. Your massage therapist will generally arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your session to set-up and discuss standard in-take questions (injuries, target areas, etc). After the massage, the massage therapist will typically spend another 5-10 minutes offering post-treatment suggestions, answering any questions, and taking down their equipment.

An hour massage booked is an hour massage received – we don’t let the time it takes for our therapists to set up & to pack up eat into your time to relax.

Bookings are made in a few simple steps online on our website or Blys massage app where you can customise your massage and pay securely for your massage.

If you’re having difficulty booking online, you can call our team on 1300 420 188 and we’ll take your booking over the phone.

Please note that for phone bookings, the payment MUST be made within 1-hour after your therapist is confirmed. If we don’t receive the payment within 1-hour of confirmation, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

DO YOU CATER FOR GROUPS? E.G. CORPORATE EVENTS OR OFFICES
