Charity Event Ideas We Cater For

Trade Show and Expo Stands

Every stand on the floor has a screen, a bowl of mints and a person trying to make eye contact. A massage chair gives you a queue instead, and a queue gives your team ten uninterrupted minutes with each person sitting in it.

Conference Breaks and Wellness Zones

Coffee and a biscuit is a break in name only. A ten-minute chair massage or a guided stretch between sessions sends delegates back into the room able to concentrate, which is what the agenda assumed would happen anyway.

Multi-Day Conferences and Summits

Day three of a summit is where attendance quietly drops. Rotating a wellness zone across the venue keeps delegates on site through the afternoon sessions rather than back at the hotel answering email.

Speaker and VIP Green Rooms

Keynote speakers spend the hour before they go on either rehearsing or worrying. A short massage in the green room is a small piece of hospitality that speakers tend to mention when someone asks how the event was run.

A simple way to plan your conference

How Blys Partners With Conference and Expo Organisers

Get access to Australia’s largest network of independent massage, beauty and wellness providers through one platform, at convention centres and venues across the country.

Step 1: Get a free quote

Tell us the dates, the venue, your delegate numbers and whether you’re staffing a stand, a break zone or both. Someone from the Blys team will come back with a quote within one business day.

Step 2: Place your booking

Once you’re happy with the quote we share the brief with the network of independent providers on Blys and confirm as soon as one accepts. You’re only charged after the booking is confirmed.

Step 3: On the day

Your mobile provider will travel to your workplace or event location with plenty of time to set up and bring their professional-grade equipment with them. All you have to do is get ready to enjoy the experience.

Simplifying Mobile Wellness Experiences For Teams

Popular Services You Can Add to Your Conference or Expo

Every service can be adjusted to suit your delegate numbers, your floor space and how many days you’re running.

Treat your guests to a head, neck, and shoulder chair massage or a table massage that will leave them feeling energised and refreshed. Professional local massage therapists will provide a massage chair, towels, hygienic wipes, and products.

Nail Bar

Nail Bars

A manicure or nail tidy-up station keeps guests seated and talking, which is exactly what you want before the event. Tailored to men and women you can choose to offer guests classic manicures, acrylic, shellac or a simple nail tidy up and hand or foot massage.

group meditation for events

Guided Meditation

A group meditation session between keynotes gives delegates an actual reset, and it fills a fifteen-minute gap in the agenda better than another networking prompt on a slide.

Makeup Bar

Express Beauty and Grooming

For conferences with an evening function, a hair, makeup or grooming station in the late afternoon means delegates go straight from the last session to the gala without a round trip to the hotel.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you attract people to your trade show booth?

Give them a reason to stop that isn’t a pitch. A massage chair works because the queue is visible from across the floor, delegates get something they actually want, and your team gets ten minutes with a captive and relaxed person instead of thirty seconds with someone walking past.

How many massage therapists do I need for a conference?

Uptake at events usually sits around 70%, and one therapist gets through about four people an hour at fifteen minutes each. For 200 delegates over a two-hour break, one therapist won’t be enough, so tell us your numbers and we’ll size the booking properly.

How much space do I need on my stand?

Chair massage needs about 1.5m x 1m per therapist, which fits on most 3m x 3m stands with room left for the queue. Table massage needs closer to 2.5m x 1.5m and suits a breakout room rather than an open floor.

Do therapists use oil at conferences?

No. Chair massage at conferences and expos happens fully clothed with no oil, so delegates go straight back into a session without needing to change or shower.

How much notice do you need?

We ask for 48 hours notice to secure a booking, though the more lead time you can give us on a large activation, the more choice you’ll have over the providers and services.

Can you cover a multi-day event?

Yes. Multi-day conferences are usually staffed on rotating shifts across the run, and the roster is built around your session times and exhibition hours.

Can I request providers to use specific products that I provide them?

Yes for sure. You can opt for providers to wear your branded merchandise, use your products and equipment and also brief them on your key USP’s to help sell your brand and products to your guests.

Is there a cancellation fee?

All confirmed group bookings (including but not limited to bookings for offices / teams, events, and other groups of 4 or more people) will be subject to a 10% cancellation fee if cancelled after the booking has been confirmed. Additionally, the following will also apply:

  • 48 – 72 hours prior to the scheduled booking start time = 20% fee
  • 24 – 48 hours prior to the scheduled booking start time = 50% fee
  • 24 hours prior to the scheduled booking start time = 100% fee

What cities are you in?

Blys’ corporate wellness services are available all across Australia, including major cities like SydneyMelbourneBrisbaneAdelaidePerthParamattaCanberraWollongongNorth Sydney and Gold Coast. Check out our full list of service locations here.

How much does a Blys corporate event massage services cost?

Prices for our corporate wellness services depend on the duration of the event, and the number of therapists required. Visit our instant corporate massage quote calculator, or call us on +61483922627.

How do I know I’m getting a quality service?

To ensure you’re in great hands (literally) all providers on the Blys platform are carefully vetted and must complete a comprehensive onboarding process before joining the platform.

We require providers to have relevant qualifications or experience for the services they offer, up to date insurance and valid police checks. We also have an internal rating system for our providers.

How does parking work?

Mobile wellness providers are required to bring quite a bit of equipment and therefore parking on the premise is preferred. If that isn’t available, we’ll ask you to specify the closest spot to park and if it requires any costs to be covered.

How much notice do I have to provide?

We require 48 hours notice to secure your booking.

When and how do I pay for corporate event massage bookings?

We require all corporate event massage bookings to be paid in advance. We can accept credit cards (an invoice will be sent) or we can raise an invoice and email it to you.

Do I need to allocate a separate room?

Not really. Having onsite chair massage or seated massage as a part of your corporate event is quite manageable in your usual communal workplace setting. However, having a separate room/space can be beneficial to create a private, relaxing ambience.

Do you use any massage oil?

No, therapists you book via the platform do not use any oil for corporate event massages, as they are performed fully clothed. This makes it very practical for the work place or event you’re based in.

Are therapists vetted and insured?

All therapists on the Blys platform are carefully vetted and must complete a comprehensive onboarding process before joining the platform. We require providers to have relevant experience for the services they offer, valid insurance and police checks as well while they sign up. We also have an internal rating system for our providers, which helps you decide which therapists to book for your event.

What hygiene procedures do therapists maintain?

The massage chair your therapist uses for your event’s chair massage session is always wiped down with antibacterial between every client, and they are required to use a disposable paper cover/lining every time.

How many people should I book for?

Booking for a corporate event can be quite challenging, however, as a general rule, the uptake of massage is around 70%. So, if you have an office of around 50 people, you should expect around 35 attendees. If you consider 15 minutes of seated massage for each of the 35 team members, this would be around 9 hours in total. This is just a tentative guide, and it is a good idea to ask around the workplace in advance to gauge the interest.

Do I need to provide anything for the massage therapist?

No, you don’t need to provide anything for the massage therapist, beauty therapist or wellness providers. They will arrive with ergonomic massage chairs (or any other massage equipment, depending on the service you’ve chosen), disposables, music, and everything required to create a relaxing massage station. You just need to have sufficient space of either 1.5 x 1m for chair massage or 2.5 x 1.5m for table massage.

What if I want to extend on the day?

You can definitely extend on the day itself, provided your therapist is available. However, you will need to get in touch with our team for more details.

What is a contraindication?

A contraindication is an injury or medical condition that may require therapists to modify, and in very rare cases refrain from doing massage. For example. if you or any of your team members has a strained wrist, your therapist could still massage the neck and shoulders, but just avoid the injured area. But if they have had a recent surgery, there will be an absolute contraindication, refraining the therapist from working on them. Generally the therapist can modify the sequence to make it safe and enjoyable.

How long is turnaround between massages?

When greeting the client, your therapist will ask for areas to focus on, any injuries/contraindications, pressure, and instruct them how to sit on the chair if it’s a chair/seated massage or the table if you’ve opted for a table massage. This generally takes about 1 or 2 minutes. At the end of the massage, the therapist will make sure the client gets off safely, and sanitises the chair takes around another minute or two.
