Festival Activation Ideas We Cater For

Public Chill Out Zones

A chill out zone with beanbags is a place to sit down, and a chill out zone with therapists in it is a place people talk about afterwards. Roving or seated massage gives attendees a reason to rest properly before heading back into the crowd.

VIP and Hospitality Areas

VIP tickets have to justify themselves. Adding a massage chair, a nail station or a quick hair touch-up to the hospitality area gives ticket holders something they can’t get on general admission, and gives your sales team a line for next year’s pricing.

Artist Green Rooms

Artists arrive off a flight, sit in a green room for four hours and then go on stage. A therapist backstage handles the parts of a rider that actually affect the performance, and it’s a request tour managers tend to remember.

Crew and Volunteer Welfare

Your crew has been building the site since Tuesday, and they’re the ones still there on Monday pulling it down. A massage station in the crew area during bump-out is a cheap way to look after the people who make the weekend happen.

A simple way to build your wellness zone

Take 30 seconds to tell us about your event including the team size, the services you’re interested in and your estimated budget. An Account Coordinator will be in touch with a quote within 24 hours.

Step 2: Place your booking

If you’re happy with the quote we’ll share your booking with our network of top-rated providers and confirm when an available provider accepts. You will only be charged once your booking is confirmed.

Step 3: On the day

Your mobile provider will travel to your workplace or event location with plenty of time to set up and bring their professional-grade equipment with them. All you have to do is get ready to enjoy the experience.

Simplifying Mobile Wellness Experiences For Teams

Popular Services You Can Add to Your Festival

Every service can be adjusted to suit your guest numbers, your venue and your budget.

Chair massage is fully clothed, needs about 1.5m x 1m and clears a queue in ten to fifteen minutes. Roving massage sends therapists into the crowd or the VIP area instead of waiting for people to find a tent, which works well in large open sites.

Event Nail Bar

Nail Bars

Express manicures and nail art sit well at music festivals, where the look is half the point. Your nail technician brings the products and the station, and guests walk away with something that photographs well.

Hair Blow Bar

Hair and Makeup Bars

Glitter, braids, festival plaits and touch-ups keep a queue moving all afternoon. Hair and makeup artists bring their own professional kit or work with products you supply.

Event group yoga

Group Yoga and Guided Meditation

A morning class is how multi-day festivals get their campers upright. Instructors run sessions that suit whoever turns up, which at 9am on day three is a mixed field.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a chill out zone at a festival?

A chill out zone is a quieter area away from the stages where attendees can sit down, cool off and reset before heading back in. Adding massage, stretching or a beauty station turns it from a place to sit into a place people plan their day around.

Can you work outdoors and in regional locations?

Yes. Providers travel across Australia, including regional sites, and chair massage works outdoors as long as the ground is flat and there’s shelter from sun or rain. Tell us the location early so we can build travel into the quote.

Do you cover multi-day festivals?

Yes. Multi-day sites are usually staffed on rotating shifts so nobody is working a fourteen-hour day, and we’ll build the roster around your gate times and stage schedule.

Can therapists work backstage and in artist areas?

Yes. Green room and artist care bookings work the same way as any other, and providers can be briefed on confidentiality and accreditation requirements before they arrive on site.

How much notice do you need?

We ask for 48 hours notice to secure a booking, though the more lead time you can give us on a large activation, the more choice you’ll have over the providers and services.

Can you provide a full day event?

Absolutely! Our event massage services are offered from 6 am till 11 pm, 7 days a week.

Can I request providers to use specific products that I provide them?

Yes for sure. You can opt for providers to wear your branded merchandise, use your products and equipment and also brief them on your key USP’s to help sell your brand and products to your guests.

Is there a cancellation fee?

All confirmed group bookings (including but not limited to bookings for offices / teams, events, and other groups of 4 or more people) will be subject to a 10% cancellation fee if cancelled after the booking has been confirmed. Additionally, the following will also apply:

  • 48 – 72 hours prior to the scheduled booking start time = 20% fee
  • 24 – 48 hours prior to the scheduled booking start time = 50% fee
  • 24 hours prior to the scheduled booking start time = 100% fee

What cities are you in?

Blys’ corporate wellness services are available all across Australia, including major cities like SydneyMelbourneBrisbaneAdelaidePerthParamattaCanberraWollongongNorth Sydney and Gold Coast. Check out our full list of service locations here.

How much does a Blys corporate event massage services cost?

Prices for our corporate wellness services depend on the duration of the event, and the number of therapists required. Visit our instant corporate massage quote calculator, or call us on +61483922627.

How do I know I’m getting a quality service?

To ensure you’re in great hands (literally) all providers on the Blys platform are carefully vetted and must complete a comprehensive onboarding process before joining the platform.

We require providers to have relevant qualifications or experience for the services they offer, up to date insurance and valid police checks. We also have an internal rating system for our providers.

How does parking work?

Mobile wellness providers are required to bring quite a bit of equipment and therefore parking on the premise is preferred. If that isn’t available, we’ll ask you to specify the closest spot to park and if it requires any costs to be covered.

How much notice do I have to provide?

We require 48 hours notice to secure your booking.

When and how do I pay for corporate event massage bookings?

We require all corporate event massage bookings to be paid in advance. We can accept credit cards (an invoice will be sent) or we can raise an invoice and email it to you.

Do I need to allocate a separate room?

Not really. Having onsite chair massage or seated massage as a part of your corporate event is quite manageable in your usual communal workplace setting. However, having a separate room/space can be beneficial to create a private, relaxing ambience.

Do you use any massage oil?

No, therapists you book via the platform do not use any oil for corporate event massages, as they are performed fully clothed. This makes it very practical for the work place or event you’re based in.

Are therapists vetted and insured?

All therapists on the Blys platform are carefully vetted and must complete a comprehensive onboarding process before joining the platform. We require providers to have relevant experience for the services they offer, valid insurance and police checks as well while they sign up. We also have an internal rating system for our providers, which helps you decide which therapists to book for your event.

What hygiene procedures do therapists maintain?

The massage chair your therapist uses for your event’s chair massage session is always wiped down with antibacterial between every client, and they are required to use a disposable paper cover/lining every time.

How many people should I book for?

Booking for a corporate event can be quite challenging, however, as a general rule, the uptake of massage is around 70%. So, if you have an office of around 50 people, you should expect around 35 attendees. If you consider 15 minutes of seated massage for each of the 35 team members, this would be around 9 hours in total. This is just a tentative guide, and it is a good idea to ask around the workplace in advance to gauge the interest.

Do I need to provide anything for the massage therapist?

No, you don’t need to provide anything for the massage therapist, beauty therapist or wellness providers. They will arrive with ergonomic massage chairs (or any other massage equipment, depending on the service you’ve chosen), disposables, music, and everything required to create a relaxing massage station. You just need to have sufficient space of either 1.5 x 1m for chair massage or 2.5 x 1.5m for table massage.

What if I want to extend on the day?

You can definitely extend on the day itself, provided your therapist is available. However, you will need to get in touch with our team for more details.

What is a contraindication?

A contraindication is an injury or medical condition that may require therapists to modify, and in very rare cases refrain from doing massage. For example. if you or any of your team members has a strained wrist, your therapist could still massage the neck and shoulders, but just avoid the injured area. But if they have had a recent surgery, there will be an absolute contraindication, refraining the therapist from working on them. Generally the therapist can modify the sequence to make it safe and enjoyable.

How long is turnaround between massages?

When greeting the client, your therapist will ask for areas to focus on, any injuries/contraindications, pressure, and instruct them how to sit on the chair if it’s a chair/seated massage or the table if you’ve opted for a table massage. This generally takes about 1 or 2 minutes. At the end of the massage, the therapist will make sure the client gets off safely, and sanitises the chair takes around another minute or two.
