July brought a more connected booking chat, safer photo uploads for pros, easier account verification and a few payment and earnings improvements for clients and providers around the world.
For Clients
Chat opens the moment your pro accepts

No more searching for the conversation, it is already open when you need it.
For treatments that benefit from a bit more coordination before the appointment, such as lymphatic drainage or medical massage, the booking chat now opens automatically as soon as a pro accepts the job. There is no need to find the conversation manually. It is already there, ready for any questions about the visit.
A new payment option for Support at Home clients
Eligible clients in Australia can now pay for bookings using HCP (Support at Home) funding directly at checkout. This makes it easier for Home Care Package recipients to book the support they need without handling separate reimbursement steps.
Faster access to bookings from the app menu
The client app menu now includes direct links to New bookings, Bookings and Providers. These destinations were previously only a few taps away, but having them in the main menu makes it quicker to jump straight to what you need.
A backup way to verify your account
If a verification code does not arrive by email, clients can now request it by SMS instead. This gives everyone a reliable fallback so a missing email never has to hold up signing up or logging in.
See pro services from your phone
Pro profiles already show the services each person offers on the web. That same view is now available in the client mobile app too, making it just as easy to check whether a pro suits your booking while browsing on your phone.
Clearer ratings on the Blys website
Pro listings on the Blys website now show the total number of ratings a pro has received, not just the count of ratings that came with a written review. This gives a fuller, more accurate picture of a pro’s track record at a glance.
For Providers
Portfolio photos are redacted, not blocked

Personal information is automatically blurred, so your photo still goes live.
Previously, a portfolio photo containing personal information, such as a phone number, address or other identifying detail, could be blocked from upload entirely. Now, Blys automatically redacts that information from the image instead, so the photo can still be added to a profile without the manual back and forth of re-editing and re-uploading.
A clear “what’s next” after accepting a job
Pros now see a confirmation screen right after accepting a booking, summarising the key details and next steps for that job. It is a small addition that helps avoid confusion about what to do between accepting a job and the appointment itself.
Clearer GST breakdown in earnings reports
Provider earnings reports in Australia now include separate columns for Service Fee and Licence Fee, each shown inclusive and exclusive of GST. This makes it easier for pros to reconcile their earnings and prepare for tax time without doing the maths themselves.
A bigger referral bonus for European pros
The referral bonus for pros who refer another pro in Europe has increased to €50. It is part of Blys’s ongoing investment in growing the provider network across European markets.
EU pros are onboarded with treatments already switched on
New pros activating in Europe now have key massage treatments automatically enabled on their profile from day one, instead of requiring a manual toggle from the Blys team. This means EU pros can start receiving relevant booking requests sooner after activation.
For Clients and Providers
Help Centre articles now speak your language
Help Centre articles for European markets are now automatically shown in the reader’s local language. When a support article is shared with a client or pro in France, for example, they will see the French version without anyone needing to translate or link the article manually.
Faster, more reliable app launches
Behind the scenes, the app’s splash screen was rebuilt to fix an issue that could cause the app to hang on launch for some users. It is not a visible feature, but it means a smoother start every time you open Blys.
More improvements are on the way
July’s releases focused on making booking chats more responsive, keeping provider photo uploads simple and safe, and smoothing out payments and earnings across markets.
Keep an eye out for the next monthly update to see what’s new.
