We understand that there may be challenging times upon us. However, we don’t have to let self-isolation and quarantine be another pitfall! For a lot of people, situations such as these can be a blessing in disguise: we have a rare opportunity to focus exclusively on ourselves. With so much time on our hands, we should find ways to spend it productively and effectively.

Here are just some of the ways you can spend your self-isolation time.

  1. Use the time to catch up on CPE points.
  • Take an anatomy refresher course.
  • Watch massage related videos on new techniques you’ve been curious about.
  • Take online CPE courses to get those done for the year. No scrambling at the last minute for you!
  1. Catch up on admin work.
  • Work out your mileage (if you’re a mobile massage therapist).
  • Make sure all of your client notes are complete and filed properly.
  • Log your expenses.
  1. Practice mindfulness meditation.
  • Meditation is great for stress, and lowering your stress is good for your immune system. You can find apps or videos online to guide you through and help you learn how to meditate.
  1. Watch some youtube videos to learn how to do facials; practice on yourself.

  1. Practice some deep breathing.
